Ok ya’ll, this week’s product is multi-use inexpensive one!

Good ol’ Vaseline! Yes folks, your inexpensive drugstore store item. I always get asked about my skin. I also always get complimented by the nail techs who do my pedicures. They always comment on how soft my feet are and the fact that there is never much to scrub. I give all thanks to, Vaseline.
Growing up my parents always lathered us up in vaseline after bath time, and back in the day vaseline used to make a medicated version that I swear all black folks swore by. Scraped your knee, get vaseline. Lips dry, use vaseline. Out of hair grease, use vaseline.
Let’s talk about the benefits of vaseline. I went to the inter webs and found an article detailing the benefits and here are a few;
Heal minor skin scrapes and burns (grandma knew what she was talking about!)
Moisturize face, hands and more
Help for pet paws (Now this one I did NOT know)
Prevent diaper rash (Used it for my kids and it worked)
Remove eye makeup (You know that expensive cleansing balm we buy?)
These are just a few things that vaseline is good for. I must admit, I hate lotion. I hate the consistency and I haven’t found one yet that leaves me moisturized all day. One tip though when applying vaseline to cracked heels or skin in general. I put it on straight out of the shower while my skin is still nice and soft from the shower. After applying to my feet, I put on a pair of socks and allow the vaseline to work it’s magic. The next morning, feet are soft as a baby’s bottom.
What do you use to moisturize? Lotion? Body Butters? Oils? Vaseline? Let me know in the comments!
