Adjust your focus and tell me what you really see… As cliche as the question is, “do you see the glass half full, or do you see the glass half empty?” It’s so relevant as it relates to focus.

I absolutely love when God gives me revelation when searching for something to blog about.
I’d already written my blog for today, but something kept nagging at me and all I could hear was, “your focus is all wrong”. Now, the tired part of me was like, stop playing because I am NOT rewriting anything, but I always listen to that inner voice.
I take pride in my ability to see the good in just about any situation, to adjust my focus. But quite honestly, there are some days that my inability to shift my focus and get my shit together, gets on my own nerves. There are some days I’m so focused on what could be or what’s not going right that I miss the blessings of the NOW. Whew, I know I’m not alone.
How many can relate? Focusing on what you don’t have. Focusing on somebody else’s growth. I’m guilty. Hear me when I say, focusing on those things is as dangerous as distracted driving. What happens when you take your eyes off the road? What happens to the runner who chooses to look back at the competition during the race? You get off course, lose sight of your goal and miss out on the blessings of that moment. A moment you’ll never get back. Take that in.
What you focus on, you create more of. I had to really become very conscious of this. Manifesting is nothing more than focus, both intentional and unintentional. The mind is a complicated and very powerful thing.
So how do you maintain positive focus? I’m going to share a few things I use. Feel free to use these and add your own.
• Make it a daily practice
• Pay attention to your feelings and thoughts
• When you wake up in the morning, add saying out loud three things you’re grateful for
• Be intentional about what you choose to focus on. If it’s negative, it gets no attention
Adjusting your focus is absolutely life changing. “Always remember, your focus determines your reality “ ~ George Lucas
Until next time…🦋
