You’re probably wondering what the hell random write is. Well, random write as defined by me is I don’t have anything to write about. Y’all, I got a severe case of writers block. (Insert loud aww here for added effect)
When it comes to my blog I write on weekends or when I feel it, which at times can be 3AM on a week day. This weekend I had the same plan, write blog post and record a YouTube video. Well, I got the video recorded but when it came to something to write about, I had nothing.
Me on Saturday…picture it, sitting in the middle of my bed, pen in had, journal in lap (because it ain’t real if it ain’t ink to paper). There’s something about writing on actual paper. Just like nothing compares to the feel of turning pages in an actual book. Anyhow, I sat there in my bonnet tapping my pen waiting for inspiration to hit me…nothing. I sat for a few hours, then I got up and embraced the day because why not?
Writers block is normal and this is how I deal. I accept what is and live in the moment. I realize that it’s only temporary and doesn’t make me any less of a writer. In this case, this is what I got and I’m okay with that.
