Please Allow Me to Reintroduce Myself

Black, Female, Queer, Mother, Writer, Blogger, Spiritual

I figured if I was gonna tell the truth, I might as well tell the whole truth. I identify as each and every one of those words. I’ve never fit society’s standard of normal. I always marched to the beat of my own drum.

It would take me an entire 27 years to come out, and speak the truth of who I was. It was one of the most liberating, yet difficult days of my life. I found myself muting certain parts of me in fear of losing loved ones, friends, losing followers, offending church folk (insert eye roll here)...imagine that, putting the opinions and beliefs of others before my own feelings, and had the nerve to wonder why I was depressed! Whew, I did it though, and for a very long time, until now.

Recently I felt like my online life was a bit disingenuous. How the hell can I inspire woman (or anyone for that matter) to live life boldly if I wasn’t? I had to tell myself, “girl bye”.

So if you will, please allow me to reintroduce myself.

Hello, my name is Jazmine and I’m the creator of Talking All That Jaz®️ (I’m a whole brand). A blog birthed out of years of depression & anxiety. My goal with my blog is to create a fun, safe and loving space for women and moms to come for encouragement, parenting help, recipes, fashion and a good laugh. I am a mother of 4, bonus mom of 1 and Grammy to a beautiful little girl! I am also black, queer and very proud. I came out at 27 and have been with my partner for 14 years. I am a writer. I am spiritual...religion was a burden I laid down by the riverside long ago!

Happy Pride Month...oh, and just incase you forgot, BLACK LIVES STILL MATTER ✊🏽🖤
