2024, I’m ready for you! I'm excited and looking forward to what God has in store! I was talking to someone and she asked me if I was ready for 2024 and I told her I was excited! She said, “finally someone is excited about the new year.” I thought to myself, how could I not be? Yes, the last few years have been tough, but, the trials didn’t strip me of my optimism. They did however teach me valuable lessons, several I don’t care to repeat. You hear that G-O-D? Like many of you, I’ve also requested the blessings package for 2024.
The last few years I’ve chosen a word for the new year, and this year my word is alignment. Meaning; I want to be aligned with God’s will for my life. If it’s not aligned, I don’t want it. That goes for persons, places and things. Listen, my relationship with God today is real personal!

”Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize him, and he will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way]“
What else does alignment look like for me?
Praying and consulting God about everything. I talk to two people about ALL situations, God and my therapist.
Living a life that’s also aligned with my values.
To me there is something significant about a fresh start. A 365 day reset. A new beginning. It's quite the motivation, for me. In addition to choosing my word for the year, I created a digital vision board because we’re new aged over here 😆. Real quick, my significant other sent me this picture and told me to put it on my vision board…
Let me explain why…NO has become my firm foundation. Singing Ashford & Simpson’s “Solid as a Rock”. NO is my response to any and everything that doesn’t serve me, or God’s will. If I don’t want to…NO. If I don’t feel like it…NO. If it doesn’t feel right…NO. If it ain’t God approved…NO. Every time I say it, it feels like, smells like and tastes like PEACE with a side of freedom. This might be the second word of 2024 😆.
I also made a video on the last day of 2023 asking Jazmine of December 2024 if we accomplished those things. I got the idea from a creator on TikTok named Jada Wada and thought it was a super cool idea! I look forward to making that update video and sharing it! I am going into the new year with an open mind, prayed up and with big dreams. Let me ask you, what are you excited for in 2024?
